What happens to the information you give.

The forms on this site ask for as little as they can, and this page says exactly what is done with it. Nothing here is written to be difficult to read.

What is collected

When you join the list, your email address and nothing else. When you apply for founding coaching, your first name, your email address, and your answers to the application questions: your stage, who your nonprofit will serve, your plan for the first 90 days, your biggest question or obstacle, your hopes for the next twelve months, and, if you choose to say, how you heard about it. If you write to us directly we hold that message as well, for as long as the conversation is useful.

If you buy the set

Checkout is run by Kit, and card payments are handled by its payment processor. Your card number is entered on their pages and never reaches this site or is stored by us. What we receive is your name, email address and the record of the purchase, which are used to deliver the files and to answer questions about the order.

Why it is collected

To send you Every Document a New Nonprofit Needs, and to send you occasional updates about Passion Turned Profession. That is the whole purpose. Entering your address is how you consent to it, and withdrawing that consent takes one click.

Application answers are read by one person, Ike Wayne, to decide who is selected for the founding group and, if you are selected, to coach you. Applying means you agree to be emailed about that program. You are added to the list for occasional updates only if you tick the optional box on the application.

Who else sees it

The list, and any application answers, are held by Kit, the email service that sends these messages on our behalf. Kit processes your information so that mail can be delivered to you, and for no purpose of its own. Nobody else is given access.

Your address and your answers are not sold, rented, traded, or shared. That promise appears beside the sign-up form and the application, and this page is what stands behind it. There is no advertising on this site, and no advertiser is given anything.

How long it is kept

Until you unsubscribe, or until the list is closed. Unsubscribing stops all future mail immediately. The record that you unsubscribed is kept, because keeping it is how the request is honored.

Application answers are kept while you are a client. If you are not selected, they are kept only as long as needed to consider you for a later group, and they are deleted whenever you ask.

How to leave, and how to be erased

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough. If you would rather the address and any application answers were deleted outright than simply unsubscribed, write to hello@passionturnedprofession.com and say so, and it will be. You may also ask what is held about you and be told.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party advertising scripts. The only request that leaves your browser for another company is the one that submits the form, and that happens only when you submit it.

Children

This site is written for adults starting organizations. It is not directed at children, and no address is knowingly collected from anybody under thirteen.

If this page changes

The date below is when it last did. A change that affects what is done with an address already on the list will be sent to that list, rather than only posted here.
